Gender and Sexuality Studies Workshop

The Gender and Sexuality Studies Workshop (GSSW) promotes studies of the ways in which gender and sexuality shape human experiences and are embedded in other social practices. It provides participants with an interdisciplinary forum for the development of critical perspectives on gender and sexuality. The workshop meets Tuesday afternoons in even weeks of the quarter to discuss pre-circulated papers written by University of Chicago graduate students, faculty, and visiting scholars. To maintain the workshop's interdisciplinary focus, this year's presentations come from many disciplines, including English, History, Law, Sociology, Religion, and Art.

Attendees are expected to read the paper in advance of the workshop meeting and the papers are made available on the CGS website or via our email list. If you are interested in being included on the workshop email list, please register using the link below or email this year's student coordinator, Sarah Imhoff (sarahi@uchicago.edu).

Join the Sexuality Gender Workshop mailing list.

All workshops are held on the first floor of the Center for Gender Studies, 5733 S. University Avenue, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, unless stated otherwise.
